I am considering lifting my truck 4 to 6 inches. For those of you that have them, can you give me you honest opinion of how you like the lift and have you had ANY steering or driveline problems? If so, what were they and how were they fixed. I would also like to see some pics. Thanks.

I have the 6" superlift and to tell you the truth i am not overly impressed. So far the shocks seem like they are wore out after 6 months i had to replace the front drive shaft, rear u joints,i think the ball joints are starting to go and i still have a vibe in the drive line at 60mph and not to mention it wanders all over the road do to the adjustment of the castor to accomidate front drive shaft angle. What i do like is the looks every where i go i get compliments, and it's great off road. I here the 4" lift is superior do to the fact that everything stays within stock perameters. Thats my opinion DAVE... #ad

I had the Skyjacker 4. 5" lift on my 1999 CTD and really liked it. Went with the standard series (no flex) Class II (dual shocks up front) and add-a-leafs with the SJ dual steering stabilizer and track bar.

Absolutely no problems, and I really liked the ride quality.

I had it professionally installed at 4 Wheel Parts in Indy, and highly recommend them. Whatever you do, I would strongly encourage a professional install.

Sorry no pics yet, I have the 4 1/2 lift from Tuff Country. Ride is same as stock. Its not a performance lift as it retains stock front coils. Comes with spacers and new shocks. I dont off-road like I used to but wanted to have a taller truck. Would recommend one. Running 35`s. Will post some pics soon.

2004. 5 with the Skyjacker 4"-5" lift. Have the Rancho 9000 shocks. Better then stock ride. My problem was with the first install they used the stock tie-rod ends the go to the front sway bars. It bent the tie rods end so much one contacted the front spring.

I went back and they put spacers which drop the front sway bars, but not enough in my opinion. The tie ends are still bent backs because of the angle but not as severe as before. They will no longer contact the front spring. My concern is the current angle pinches the rubber bushing in the tie ends which I would think would bound the suspension somewhat. I checked with SkyJacker and that is was they use - the front way bar spacers to help with the angle. I was told the stock Dodge ends are stronger then any of the extended ones. I find that hard to believe some one hasn't machined a beefed up long one. I like the look and the ride is good so far but havn't logged enough miles yet. Just put the Ceramic balancing beads in the tires yestrday. I do like the adjustable Rancho 9000 shocks. Having adjustablility is the only way to go- everything else is a compromise. I looked at a T-Rex which was a hard call- but I wanted more lift and to be able to adjust the shocks.

I have a 99 3500 with the skyjacker 4" lift. After I installed it I had a to replace the track bar and have the track bar drop bracket welded to the frame to prevent flex. I also had to install dual steering stabalizers. This finall cured the shaking problem I had when hitting a pot hole. Death shake as some call it. Other than that the only thing else I had to do is take it to a spring shop and have more leaves add to the rear end. I have a flatbed on the back so my truck is heavier than most. After I got all of the bugs worked out of it it works great. Oh yea the shocks that come with it suck throw them out and get something better.

Skyjacker 5" front kit, with kelderman air bags instead of coils, w/ rs 9000's. Rear is stock w/ 2" block.

Front rides great, no wandering driveshaft is fine, no binding or vibes at all.

The 03's have a much better trackbar so don't worry about those posting w/ 2nd gens
