About the second time I saw the BS ford commercial... their 1/2T spankin a hemi, off the line in a towing race I wondered why they didn't show which one got to the top of the hill first. Well... just got the new Consumer Report and they did a 1/2T PU comparison. One test was 0-60 mph times towing a 6500 lb trailer.
CR results:
Nissan 5. 6L - 17. 2 sec.
Dodge 5. 7L hemi - 17. 4 sec.
Ford 5. 4L - 20. 9 sec.
Chev 5. 3L - 21. 5 sec.
Tundra 4. 7L - 22. 4 seconds
The hemi was also faster than the f in both the quarter mile and 45-65 mph. The Nissan was . 1 sec. faster than the hemi in the quarter but . 2 sec. slower in the 45-65.
Yep, the hemi got whooped by a ricer but surely not by the f. Maybe f forgot to load the trailer behind their truck for that commercial! Craig
