Ford 5.4 Triton numbers

How much can one possibly produce out of one of these engines?



Mackenzie and I go out on Fridays and Saturdays to play with the ricers and such running up and down Academy in the Springs. There is one guy who is running a "ghetto-ed" out Expedition with 20" wheels and such. I noticed he had two pillar mount guages before I smoked him out. (He backed off nonetheless).



What numbers can he run with maybe a turbo or super or whatever? I don't really feel like talking to him in person

on that trucks tv show, they had a f150 with a t-66 turbo'd 5. 4 in it... they said it was like 450hp or something like that. .

Wow, that is about 100 more horsepower than I was even going to guess.



I wonder how many pounds of boost one could run on a stock engine, probably more with a better gasket and valve springs and the other requirements to put an aftermarket turbo on.

There are also some supercharger kits out for them.

at the b-dog event last june, #24 harold klassen did 295 on his 5. 4 w/ a supercharger and a few other little mods
