Ford 6.0 a rocket!

They may not last all that long, but them things haul ***!!! We just got an 05 f250 at work. I took it out for a spin today, and I must say I was impressed. Hold it to the floor and it took off like a raped ape.

my brother has one for a company truck,4dr 4wd f350 early 04 model ,already has 70k on it with no probs. empty or loaded that thing is awesome. .

my dad has one for our company and its been great!! only left us walking on the hiway about a dozen times (literaly) it was a cold walk down i69 in december :{ and its only been in the shop a half dozen times with 24 new injectors. fuel gauge doesnt work, and it stinks! im gonna get one tomarrow :-laf

The turbo whine was awesome. I couldn't help floor it and watch that boost gauge peg. I was doing my part to break it (in) :-laf :-laf :-laf

I like listening to them start up... hearing that starter crank 'em over until the high pressure oil pump is making enough pressure to fire the injectors off is SOOOO cool!



They run good when they're running. Heck, with a variable geometry ball bearing turbo bolted to a free breathing V8... they better run nice!

My friend just traded his 04 250 for an 05 350. It's so quiet compared to my 12er. Smooth as silk and quick. Of course, he's only had it for a month .

I would expect a 325hp V8 diesel to run like a hotrod, and for a daily driver no doubt it would be a hoot. Throw on the 30' fiver and you'll wish you had the Cummins.

my dads isnt very quiet at all, but i will give it that when it runs, it runs. but put a load behind it and it wont get much away from my old cummins. it does sound cool when you hammer it, just a neat turbo pitch. havent heard one straight piped yet, i might have to do some cutting this year. and i had one question for anybody that knows about these trucks, what makes the exhaust stink so much? i mean just make you sick stink. i like diesel fumes but all psd make me sick, and the 6. 0 are even worse.

I'll second that. I don't think I've hears a more melliflous tone than a str8 piped 6. 0. That turbo sounds so GOOD!

a buddy of mine in so cal had a 03 f350 dually crewcab put all the fancy stuff on it bigger down pipe striaght pipe into duals out back , chip n programmer sounded mean but got mad when my vw bug could still smoke it

well after all that hop up stuff at 55,000 he lunched the motor got brave n had to add 10 grand to trade it in for another 1 go figure :--) :-laf
