Ford 6.5l inline 6 cyl diesel engine

Does anyone have any experience with this engine. It was offered in some F600 & F700 trucks(late 80's). How does it compare to the 5. 9 cummins. It is rated at about 185hp and is suppose to have good low end torque from what I heard. It is not very popular so I'm looking for some input before I think about buying one. TIA

I've HEARD (in other words don't quote me ) that these engine ran well and had lot's of power, but were built fairly cheap and when the time came to rebuild them, parts were hard to come by and/or it was not worth even rebuilding.
