I think I remembered about all of them.

CDAVES, wow that's quite a variety of engines and trucks. Your techs must have a nice time keeping all those straight. What is the highest HP Cummins you can get with the FL70? I think the FL60,70 series trucks are a little light duty for fire service,IMO. We are starting to see a few more CAT's and Cummins in fire service out here, since they can't get the 2 strokers anymore and the fleets are rolling over, still a lot of DT50/60 series though. I know the 4 Seattle FD articulated ladder trucks (don't remember the make, cab over eng) with CAT 425hp 3406b's I have worked on are a PITA to work on. Bad times running them on the dyno too. They are fun to drive though, they have the tender (I think that's what is called) that you have to drive from the rear, took one out on the street, takes some getting used to. Be safe out there.

GARY-KJ6Q-----I have heard that the BOSCH Company is a privately held organization and is not publicay traded or sold. I don't know anything about the rest of your story but seriously doubt your BOSCH info.

I think it's pretty obvious that Ford ownes Bosch. :p

I love firetrucks :) Some companies even spec them right... The company I started out with (sort of stopped running there when I realized I had as much training as the chief when I was 19, another story in itself) Had a new tanker built in '01, Freightliner FL112 chassis, I believe HD4060 allison behind a 500hp ISM, talk about a runner!

The company I run with now has a mix too... all pierce trucks, but our 94 Lance 75' quint's got a silver 6v92 at 450 hp (a damn good runner!) our 92 dash is underpowered by a 250hp 6CT83 and our 02

Saber is, ahem, underpowered by a 330 "series 40" aka DT466
