8.3 Cummins vs. DT466

Powerstroke glow plugs

HOW LOUD DO WE HAVE TO SAY IT, CUMMINS OWNS CUMMINS AND NOBODY ELSE DOES!!!!! I mean really they have their own website, yada yada yada.

As we all know if ford did own any part of Cummins now don't you think your neighbor's ford would have a cummins in it instead of that worthless new 6. 0( still can't figure out why they done away with the 7. 3powestroke)

The 7. 3 couldnt make the 04 emissions.

The salesman didnt even know how to lie correctly. The lie goes like this. Well you know ford owns cummins so IF it was a better engine, like everyone you know told you it was, wouldnt ford use it in their own trucks. Its preys upon your logic but unfortunately with false information. Logically. If it were true. Ford would be stupid to not use the superior engine in their truck. Still sounds to me like they have to lie to make the international sound better.

Its just like the guy who I was talking with at the diesel pump. The ford dealer talked him outta the cummins because it was archaic technology. Dont you know those cummins are two strokes?

Unfortunately Ive heard some whoppers at the dodge dealer too. I have ran into some very well informed salesman at the same dealer though. Something I have had a hard time coming acrossed at the ford dealer. And yes. I do shop both. My wallet has veto power over all purchase decisions and the best deal wins.

I saw a 1953 Ford F-350 this past weekend with a 3-53 Detroit in it. It was pretty cool and those two strokes sound neat winding out... ..... Maybe Ford bought Detroit diesel while they were on a buying spree:D

What would be even more fun to do with the Ford salesman would be to walk him over to the F650 (if they have one) on his lot and flip open the hood (pre plan this one because they don't all have the 5. 9 ISB) and then ask why Ford is putting a pickup engine in their big trucks? :D

The truth...

No guys, this is absolutely true!!! The dealer told me that I was driving the very last Cummins assembled into a Dodge Ram, a 2000 model. You keep hearing this rumor cause its actually already happened, but Dodge and Cummins are trying to cover it up.

You guys with newer trucks *MUST* be driving around with powerstrokes under the hood, with a different valve cover or something. As for the sound of your post 2000 model trucks, its canned, there's actually a speaker under the hood making that sweet VP-44 & ISB sound. Yamaha and his dealer are spot on!

Yamaha, go back to that dealer and tell that salesman to stay off crack!

An opportunity

Yup, that encounter is an opportunity. You should get the name of the sales?man and dealership, and write to Daimler Chrysler. They are serious about cleaning up this kind of crap, and might even do something about it. Can only help guys like you who want to buy the best.
