The Montanan-New Fords with a Cummins

ATS event invitation misprint

Now calm down people, but has anyone seen the new print ad that Chevy put out for the HD Silverado. It compares Transmission Shafts of all three trucks.

Copy reads ''Does your truck offer an Allison transmission?Does that transmission have the same shafts used in medium duty commercial trucks? Chevy Silverado HD pickup does. And the available Allison transmission in a Chevy Silverado HD pickup can be paired with either the available Big Block Vortec V8 or Duramax Diesel

How's that for a heavy duty pickup?''

Now I wonder if the guy writing ad copy for Chevy stole our idea after seeing the con rod picture?

This ad is running full page on ''Successful Farming '' magazine

I get sick of hearing about the Allison. I wish they'd show us a picture of an NV5600 vs. the Chevy ZF. I'd bet good money that my 6spd will still be rowing along after the average Allison has been recycled into Budweiser cans

Cummins + NV5600 = the strongest, most reliable drive train available in a pickup truck.

Hehe, do you want medium duty shafts or a medium duty engine? ;)

Compared to the 47re it is a monster, but billet parts help level the playing field.

So how many input shafts are actually broken on stock HP trucks??????. My understanding is that it is usually clutch packs or planitary drum failure that go south in automatics.

Has there been NO failures of the mighty allison?? Talk to any GM service tech that will tell you the truth and you will find out that there have been failures. The only diff is that GM does not allow thier dealer sercvice guys to dissasemble the transmission. They are all sent off intact.
