SAE adopts new Horsepower calculation system

Last week the OD light starts blinking on my wife's Explorer. I pulled the battery cable to see if it was some kind of flaky fault but it did not go away. We decided to send it to the dealer which is a major problem logistic wise. They determined it needed a selenoid and for the transmission to be serviced. They also said they needed to get a selenoid and would call around and get back to me. This was last weds. Thur morning they said they had a selenoid so I said keep the truck and fix it. Fri they say the selenoid did not come in and neither did the mechanic. The said they would have the selenoid on mon. We picked up the truck on Fri and were to drop it off today which my wife did. Well, about 10:30 I get a call wondering where the keys are. Telling them they should have been in the key drop, I contact my wife and indeed she did do that. About 3pm I call to find out the status and now they don't even know where the truck is. My brother in law and my wife were going to check things out this afternoon then when they left work but I have not heard since. Sounds like a black hole to me.

Just makes me want to go buy a 40k PSD.

Well, the truck was there when my wife stopped yesterday afternoon. While they managed to move it after it was dropped off, they put the keys with someone elses keys. The other keypad had a dead battery and when they fixed it, they also programmed my wifes keypad. At least that's the story they gave me. They were at a loss to explain why they had moved the vehicle then could not find it even though by now even the janitor should have been able to recognize it.

Oh yes, they did work on it today. They did not finish it however so it is there tomorrow again.

Talk about brain dead! This is worse then the deer in the headlamp look at a Dodge dealer.

For what it's worth!

Wife picked up the Exp today. Five miles from the dealer and the overdrive light is blinking again. Back to the black hole. Wish I had time to be her warrenty provider as well.

Mebbe next time you take it back they'll lose it entirely and hafta get you a new one - after all it would be on their garage-keeper's insurance! My sister had her car 'lost' from a garage in NH when they opted to leave keys in it after moving it across the lot. Found 4 months later in WY! Her loaner/ replacement vehicle and related costs (they opted to total her vehicle) were all covered. Moral is in most states once the repair order is signed, its their car.
