 I told a friend about the ford -diesel.com web site and he says that it is no longer active. I checked it myself and found the same

What happed to it? Is there a new web site?

Thanks Phill

I understand copyright and all, but that site offered a whole lot of free advertising for Ford. Sometimes the corporate mentality is hard to figure.

Yes free advertising - completely open and uncontrolled. It's hard to blame them when any idiot can post any BS (racist, etc. ) and suddenly your name is associated with it.

actually they are pretty tough over there, in the forums that are higher up in the list, besises "Other", you can't say something like this... .

"I raced a WRX today on my way to eat. At the light we pulled up next to each other, and traffic stopped and we went. "

This quote talks about illegal street racing, and is not allowed on that board for the most part. :)

they are a good bunch, except for the fact that they all bought the wrong brand. ;)

Intellectual Property

Trademark and copyright laws have a "you snooze you lose" policy behind them. If you do not enforce your trademarks and control their use they wind up in the public domain. Sometimes the enforcement is petty but they want to be able to say that they have policed their trademarks in any future litigation.

Illegal street racing , I hope their not talking about any Bombing over there. The last time I check the E. P. A. said that was illegal~~~~~~~~~~ oops , I guess those folks over there on the dieselstop.com better take all those chips and HP injectors off their trucks and throw them in the trash !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That may be true, but my point is it could change tomorrow if the moderator got hit by a bus, etc. , and Ford could do nothing about it.
