Ford......New 7.3L???

Driving into the pumps yesterday..... This guy is staring holes through me. While I'm pumping #2 he asks if I installed a banks exhaust. Says this is his trucks first fill up, a new 7. 3L,,,,,,,I did not know it was still available. Said the 6. 0 isn't all they say it is. Really?!?! He then proceeded to tell me that Ford is having troubles with the 6. 0. Really?!?! Says that it's been a problem for Ford when it came out back in Sep. of '02. September????



Am I missing something here? Or is this kind fellow misinformed.



Oh, BTW, he told me it won't do any good installing that big exhaust system because the turbo outlet is only 3" dia. :-{}

I'm not an authority on the Ford product, but I think that your facts are right and scepticism is well-placed. Didn't the TDR magazine cover some of this stuff recently?

I dunno... ... in the month of August? Grandpa will trade for a '02 GMC 4-door dually this week. Never been on the road. I don't believe the 7. 3 is still in production. It could happen.

They are getting harder to find, but 7. 3L's are still on dealer lots, and new as an '03.
