VW Diesels on the way

From rv.net tow vehicle forum:

The reason why they (Ford) outsells other brands probably has to do with what folks like myself did. . Bought a 1995 PSD. . it leaked oil and the glow plugs went out, got tired of being at the dealer so I bought a 1997 PSD. . Again. . oil leaks, the rear main seal, the oil galley plugs, CPS sensor, fuel pump on the top of the engine leaked, Romped, etc etc... So, I bought a 2002... Shoot, it did not have the tow capacity to tow my 37 foot fiver with 4 slide outs... Now, I own a Dodge... . It took me 3 times to get it right... So, you are correct, Ford outsold Dodge. . 3 to 1!!!!

Another way to look at it is this.

It take 3 Fords to go a total of 1,000,000 miles. A Cummins/ Dodge does it and wants some more!

Some stubborn people are die hard Furd fans, no matter what, like my broth-in-law. He has a 2000 F250. His truck is always in the shop, but now his out of warranty, so he pays the bill, which is never less then $500. 00. This is his 4th Furd in a row and refuses to try a Dodge just because he doesn't like Dodge. Oh well, his money.

I don't know if it's cheaper to own a Dodge though, I may not be fixing mine but I sure am upgrading things. New clutch, injectors, boxes, new transmission before long... ..... ;) Of course you'd spend alot more in a Ford to get the same horsepower.

Just look through the want adds and see how many Fords vs Dodge. Guess people like thier Dodges, can't say the same for Fords... hehe
