I have a new CTD (which I think is awesome), but I actually would have to agree with some of the points from the article. I am not one that is into brand wars, I just care about what fits best for me and my needs at the time, I don't necessarily care if it says Dodge, Ford, or GM (well, maybe don't care as much for GM

) I was fortunate to be in a position to hook my RV up to all three makes, diesel and a couple gas, before I made my purchase decision. Considering ALL aspects of the ride, I have to say that the Ford PSD felt like a beast with the RV. It's bigger stature and longer wheel base definitely help the feel towing a load. We actually did a speed check up a hill with each ride from a stop to a road sign and there was little difference between the Dodge and the Ford, of course gas versions didn't compare. I think the 5spTS in the PSD helped make up the difference in Torque.
Given all that information, I went with the dodge for two reasons:
1. I wanted the shorter wheel base and turning radius of the Dodge because this was going to also be my COMMUTER vehicle (as the article mentions)
2. Given the first year questions marks on the 6. 0PS, I liked the reliability of the CTD.
If I was strictly going to tow with the truck, or if I didn't commute and park in the Denver metro area, it would have been a closer call. I love my Dodge truck (just ask my wife she thinks it's my true love :-laf ), but when climbing into the Ford it definitely feels like a more substantial vehicle.
IMHO... .
