I was at a party this past Saturday and got to talking with a Ford guy. He told me he's waiting for the new Ford with the Cummins to come out next year as Ford owned Cummins.



I was thinking here we go again, I tried to explain that at one point that Ford owned some Cummins stock, but not any more. He was positive that what he knew was fact and that I was wrong.

I was at the local Ford dealer yesterday buying filters and stuff... they handle big rigs as well so they have fleetgaurd filters for real diesels on hand. :-laf Anyway, there was a little handout in their literature display explaining exactly what part of Cummins, Ford does indeed own. Somewhere along the line Ford managed to snap up some of the patented machining techniques used and they now call them theirs. The stock purchase/sell was never mentioned for some reason. So there you have it. Ford is responsible for making our engines the best ever.

Hey has anybody ever seen a powerstroke powered Ram?? I bet not. But how many cummins powered fords are out there?? I like to use that line on the moron ford guys who like to spout out how great the POStroke is. Usually a ford owns cummings type. I get tired of telling people the truth about the ownership of cummins, so i just smile and say bring it buy when you get it so i can drive it.
