The Navistar is actually MWM and was acquired in '05. Sounds like they are huge overseas. German engineering now built in Brazil. Probably related to the Brazilian tractor motor Ford used in their medium duty trucks back in the day. The 6.6 and 7.8.

Looks like they are in Automotive, Agriculture, Industrial, Gensets and Marine.

Looking at those emissions standards , stage IIIA (Euro) is non road engines only. IIIB cut the NOX and PM substantially and required the use of DPF to meet target emissions. So they are still building engines down there with no after treatment systems while we are being told our clean diesels are still too dirty o_O

For some reason that Super Sedan just got a little more attractive :D
