After hearing the problems at our local International garage, I wonder about Fords new bright, shining, all-bragging, "Power Stroke". This may be the "straw-in-the-back" in their joint venture. There are 6 buses with the new MAXXFORCE 7 twin turbo (Power Stroke) that are causing "Bud" (the service managers son) to pull out his hair. I asked what the specific problem was and he replied "the motor". He further commented "We have superb engines in the DT/HT series motors, how can we have this big a 'TURD' in the V series motors???" I asked again and he said "name ANY part & it has failed. " :eek:

the vt365 is the 6. 0 psd and it is vgt not twin turbo. the new psd is 6. 4L and twin turboed. I dont know the inch displacement or the letter prefix for the new motor tho. they should change the psd to pos. :-laf

is it 390cid or 388 or 391?? I wonder what the prefix will be: tt = twin turbo ct = compound turbo :confused: :confused: I could not find anything on the net for it.

is this new motor out yet last i heard it was help back for more testing. seems they have found a problem. hmmm why dont they start by fixing the motor that might be the problem.
 
They have more problems than the motor, one of our shop tech's has a 96 gasser and they can't keep a trans in it. We tease him that he puts more miles on the loaner vehicles than his own truck!



EX. picked it up friday drove north with camper and all of a sudden trans spewed out 2qts of fluid. He fought with shop rep who then told him to just run it, so he did. On the way home did the same thing. Monday went in for another trans. That was about 3 trannys ago. What ever happen to Quality is job 1? :{
 
doesn't exactly set the world on fire does it :-laf geez my 11 year old 318k mile motor beats that with few mod's
