Well, the radio news is full of "... the price of fuel is going through the roof due to hurricane Rita ... " stories. I guess we'll see a reverse of the fuel prices soon and this time heading north of $4. 00/gal. !

Its time we have another fuel price rant fest on the board.

I agree. I wish the market was as resposive to good news as they are to even the slightest hint of bad news...

I think this whole deal with fuel prices is just going to get worse until it finally comes to a head in the politcal world... I'm not holding my breath, that's for sure. .

Same station I always use:

Tuesday Aug 30 - $2. 479 (the day after Katrina hit)

Thursday Sep 8 - $2. 799

Thursday Sep 15 - $2. 699

Thursday Sep 22 - $2. 659

Today's fill-up was $80 even - a hair over 30 gallons, the fill on Sep 8 was the most I ever spent for a tank... $83 for 29. 65 gallons

You guys posting sub $3 numbers make me sick! We've been over $3. 10 since Katrina hit and it's barely come down at all! Topped out around $3. 21 but most places have been $3. 15 or so the last several days. And we're well away from the Gulf coast region!

$2. 55 here on Tues, with Rita on the way I knew it would go up, so once again the aux tank pays off. Sure is nice to have 130 gal and know your good for a while.

I filled up yesterday just south of the US border in Nogales, Mexico. The price was 5. 05 pesos per liter. I`ll do the math for ya... ... $1. 81 a gallon.

I GOTTA gat an aux tank!
