I see what might be a problem.



When I signed on this morning and clicked on "NEW POSTS" the new posts appearing included the political forum threads.



Does that happen with everyone including those who don't frequent or care to read the political threads?

Political threads should now be excluded from view new posts and view last days posts.

I don't think it was a pm notification - it looks like it was probably a visitor message notification. Click on My Profile up top and then on visitor messages - you got one at 11:00 am today and that was probably your notification of it.

Yup, you are right, I did not know there were two different message systems or what the difference is. I will answer it with a PM, the only way I know how, thanks!

I'm not sure if it's an issue with my Android smart phone or the "lack of smarts" of this operator ... but I did notice that 1) after logging in I am not directly taken to the "thread index page. " It goes back to the home page. Instead I have to open history on the phone (where the new page is now listed) and access that way. and 2) On the threads page... the title of the thread is hard to read due to the fact that the letters appear to be "cut in half". It is only a issue on that page. Everything else appears normal.



Other than those two "problems". . All is Well...

I already did that - look at post #11 on this thread. Keep in mind though that it is still shown on your profile page as it always has been. Here are our guidelines regarding the last name shown on the profile page:

Last Names: We will allow you to opt out of having your last name displayed on your profile. Instead it will read, "Name withheld by user request". If you choose to be an anonymous user, you WILL be held to a higher standard regarding the website guidelines than those that do not. Things that are borderline on the guidelines that we may let slide with other users, we will not with anonymous users. The following will apply:

1. Users who withhold the publishing of their last names cannot change his or her username under ANY situation (NO exceptions).

2. Users who withhold the publishing of their last names will be held to a "zero tolerance" policy relative to our website guidelines - no warnings, strike 1 2 3, etc.

3. Commercial users (those we know are affiliated with a related Commercial enterprise) cannot exercise this option under any circumstance.

If you wish to utilize this option please email the TDR Administrator at rpatton@ix.netcom.com with your request.

Where exactly did you login as there is more than one place to login - and which browser are you using on your Android? I'm using the built in browser on mine with Android 2. 3. 4 and didn't see either of those issues.

Go to one of the forums with posts and scroll to the bottom and you'll see a box that says "Icon Legend" - that explains what all the different icons to the left of threads means. The pink means it's a "hot" thread which means it's gotten either 150+ views or 15+ posts.

I don't know if this was in the old layout or not, but I have just learned to use the blue button to get to the last post in a thread.



The one right beside my name in the attached screen shot.

Engineers are notoriously poor spellers Where's the "Spell Check"? When I click spell check, I get a "Blocked".

Steve: I originally used the lower right sign-in area (as I have in the past) with no results. I then went to the upper right hand corner and I was able to log in with my "user name and password is saved now. "

I've cleared the cookies, cache, and form data.

My phone is a Motorola Atrix 4g Android Verson 2. 3. 6

I'm OEM stock browser that Motorola uses but don't know it's name...

It used to be that when we were done with adding to a thread, we'd be able to go to the bottom of the page and click onto the forum we were on... . example, "towing, hauling, RV" we'd have the option to go back to the top of that forum.



Now we see the forum we're on, and when we click on that we get the menu from the top and no choice to go directly back to the forum we were on. Or maybe I'm missing the link... Can you either help me with my mistake, or put the link back so that we can go back to forum we just left to answer the thread.

Pulldown menu boxes at the top of the forum are showing up BEHIND, not OVER, the red banner bar.

I think I understand - when you click on top it will take you back to the top of the page and if you look just above the banner ad you'll see what's called a breadcrumb - you'll see something like this:

Forum * TDResource * Website Suggestions/Comments/Questions (Members Only) * Forum upgrade - please report any bugs here

That is the trail that got you to where you are - the forum name is right there and if you click on that it will take you back to that forum.

As I said above spell check is on my list to get working but it will probably be a bit before I get to it as it probably won't be a quick fix and I'm trying to put out the small fires right now (and still try to enjoy my vacation with my family).
