I received the 4 Seasons 36142 today. It came as the unit with male or female push on terminals. It also came with a male and female factory plug with pigtails and opposite matching push on terminals.
I FIRST checked that the plugs supplied by 4 Seasons would fit the compressor and the factory loom on the truck. The plug on the truck loom needs to have one little side wing removed so the 4 Seasons supplied, female plug would fit.
The AC had not been run in 12 hours so I got under the truck while my neighbor (The trucks owner) started the engine and turned the AC on. I watched the clutch and it did one very small engagement, seemed less than a second, then quickly disengaged. It then hit the compressor clutch 4 more on-off cycles then on. Heard no hydro-lock.
By the way, Last week I called 4 Seasons in regards to the 36142 Deslugger and if it was compatible with our TIPM's. The guy I talked to was very familiar with the deslugger and said that it was no issue to use it with a TIPM.
