when tmacc, hammer and i installed my pusher pump and bj bolts i was looking for a place to mount a fp sender and thought this was an ideal spot.

at the ends of the fan shroud are 2 littlle cubby holes. i used the one beside the windshield washer tank.

what do you think about the location?

Good spot... but one question... .

Where do you put the beer when you're wrenching on the truck? I mean, that was a real good spot just the set the beer while you climb on up into the bay. Oo.

In all seriousness, cool set-up.

Killer FPSU jig

Iceman, Oh BoyOo. What a nifty idea:cool:

Actually, why are the areas of the shroud below your "GOOD IDEA" built the way they are? Is that some sort of very hot weather punch out "thingys"?

Iceman,

What guage are you using for this pressure?. I have been checking on FP gauges but I can find them to match the isso, banks, or autometer. Maybe I have not looked hard enough but I would like it if FP, EGT, and boost gauges all matched. Thanks

westach from geno's,, 15psi mounted in the dash cubby hole. doesn't match my dipricol's on the pillar but are real close. i need to get a 30psi. gauge now that the pusher pump is in.

MrFixit......

Autometer makes an electric FP in the Z series... . not sure about the others..... that matches the other Z's.

I have AutoMeter UltraLite ProComps, unfortunately the electric fuel pressure gauge only goes up to 15 psi. No good if you add a pusher pump.

Piers of Piers Diesel Research started a thread calling for everyone who wants or needs a 0-30 psi FP gauge, to email Kelly at Isspro and let her know that you want one, and will buy it if there's enough interest shown. Find that thread, and contribute!

Note: SPA's are available, they have FP as one of the choices. Pricey, but worth it, if you like digital.

30 psi FP guage

Robin at Geno's can get you a 30 psi fuel preessure guage special order, same price($65. 00). :)

Iceman,

Great idea! How did you fasten the sender to the shroud, and how is that hose fastened to the brass fitting? Same fitting on the other end? I don't see any clamps.

Thanks for the help

Jpittman,,the hole was supposed to be just a little smaller than the sender for a pressed in fit but mine was just a hair too big and i put rtv between the ring on the sender and the shroud to hold it in place.

these barbed fittings dont need clamps. once you put the hose on it wont come back off unless you cut it off. tmacc had picked them up for me and i'm not sure of their name. yes,,same on both ends.
