This sorta thing does not happen vary often but here is the story. I have perchased a 01 ram, It has the banks 4" exhaust, kn air intake system, and a banks high ram intake manifold. The truck is in nice shape with 135000 on it. I looked it over a seen all the gooddies on it but was suprized with all the stuff that was on it it did not have a tunner box, no egt probe or boost pickup. Well I got ahold of the last owner to ask about the truck and asked him about this. He said it did have a banks ottomind on it. It was mounted under the dash. Well to me the the truck ran good but did not seem to have much more power then My 99. I found the box and looked at the install, the egt was never hooked up! After talking with banks Tech. he said without the egt the box has never did a thing for the truck. I have a probe on the way from banks What a find!! Now my ? can I tap off the ottomind to hook up gauges boost, egt? This is the red ottomind that does NOT tap into the pump wire>

The part # on mine is 62692 it is not the big hoss tuner. It is throwing a error code of open egt. The tech at banks said when it has an error code, it will not work! this box was from a git kit.

You MUST get rid of that K&N filter..... oil murders AIT and MAP sensors.....

If it isn't over oiled it's fine. There are other filters that filter better though.

I had a Banks Big Hoss on my 2000 model that I couldn't get to work. Finally, Banks told me that on some applications, the would work without the Pyro hooked up, but mine didn't. A jumper wire fixed my problem.

My understanding is that if you're using the Banks tuner and pyro, you can use their gauges by plugging them right into the tuner.

Correct. Mine hooks up that way. I also have installed a switch on the pump wire which enables me to turn the fueling off and use the box for guages only (-:
