Hey everybody I have found a Head for my truck for 550. 00:-laf From Tri State Cylinder Heads. That is the cheapest new head that I have found and they stock them... . They are fom Evansville Indiana. If anybody has head problems then I would look them up before you decide to buy else where unless you want a Highpo Head...

True Cummins heads... . it is now on the truck and running... . I have to reseat the injectors cause they are leaking a little bit which is causing the truck to miss but other that it runs again... finally... . sounds better than it did before. . and I can tell it runs alot stronger than it did with the new head and head gasket!

They are machined right here in the USA... My truck is made with wrenches not Chop sticks lol..... anyways... they are machined and assembled right in evensville Indiana... The truck was missing cause the valves were not adjusted right and a exhaust valve was stuck open cause it was not able to come up all the way... . !

Are they casted here as well or just machined here?

Chineese casting, assembled in Indiana, found that out from Tri State Cylinder Head, they have been selling them for 4 years, no problems, any comments?

I don't think there are any cast foundries left stateside. EPA took care of that.
Course, I've been wrong once before. LOL

yea no I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER! and Osha. both really good ideas and needed in the begining but they went waaaay to far with there badges and have made a mess of getting anything done in the US, but hey them ah&^%$s still have there jobs aint that grand.

I don`t think you can get a new "made in the USA"head anymore. I have had two of the chinese heads and they seam to be actually a little heavier casting. They are as smooth as a oem, which is not the norm for foreign castings. like I said i have two heads out there, and a little more time should tell the story. If you are interested in trying one,go on line and you can find a complete head with valves, springs. for quite a bit less than what Edgeman paid.

Ordered one of the chineese heads, tried mopar and they are backordered and $1500 with a $300 core!! Tri-State Cylinder was $550 with no core charge!!
