I was at Wal-Mart tonight to buy a bulb for the Maglight and I was just looking through the automotive section when I spotted both Mopar ATF+4 and Wal-Mart brand Super Tech ATF+4. The Mopar was $4. 42 per quart and the Supertech was $3. 01. That is a very good price for the Mopar (less than dealer net) and a super price for the Wal-Mart brand. It said it was licensed by DaimlerChrysler so I would assume the formula has to be the same.

I mentioned the Mopar ATF+4 at Wal-Mart to some of my friends at the local Dodge dealer. They already knew about it and did not seem too happy. Said some other dealer had set up a deal to wholesale a very large volume of the stuff to Wal-Mart. I guess that was for the entire chain so you can imagine how much ATF that would be. They could really cut prices and still make a lot of money. Good for the consumer anyway. The local folks said a lot of dealers were complaining to the higher ups so we will see how long this lasts.

I saw that the other day. The bottles stuck out cause of the huge "MOPAR" on them.

I just use regular Dextron in my truck. $1. 65 a quart :D

I just bought 24 quarts for my rebuild and I saw that also. I wasn't sure about the brand and instead bought Valvoline at Kragens for $3. 49. I told my Mopar parts guy about it and he said $4. 42 was less than his cost.

I cleaned out two Walmart stores of their entire shelf stock of Mopar today. The wording on the back label is identical to that on the gallon jugs I have been getting at the dealer. Bought 33 qts.

I had been paying ~$18/gal. at the dealer until about three months ago when they proudly announced it had increased to $30.

Found the Mopar in our local Walmart today too. I bought 12 quarts to use next spring when I'll be due for a change. It was $4. 42 as mentioned by others. Must be Walmart's national price.

Thanks for the tip, I never expected to see Mopar ATF+4 at Walmart.

I saw that the other day, and also noticed before this, that they are starting to stock some Mopar oil filters as well, though none fit our CTDs. Maybe its just a matter of time before they get those too. Keep a watch on them.

Didn't catch the price, but I saw Valvoline ATF+4 at the local Tractor Supply store, FWIW. I remember a time, about 3 years ago, that I had to HUNT to find ATF+4 on a trip. Couldn't find it at any of the fuel stations, so I had to drive until I found a Wal-Mart.
