Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) found my low power problem -0216

truck was down on power and i could tell-i had sent in my ez... ended up trading for a comp-then i dynoed... . numbers seemed low,just filled up and got 14. 5 and was like wtf... ... checked my codes and sure enough -0216,sooooooooo where is the cheapest place to get a pump

yes,i will tap the wire again... ... . this will be the second vp44 for me-first one died by 70k WITHOUT any mods to the truck..... bro just had his replaced at 87k ... ... . TOTALY STOCK,soooooo if that means the difference between enjoying the truck or driving a guttless pig----fact is ,when its time for your vp44 to go... ... it will go REGARDLESS!!

my truck never got below 1/3 of a tank-stanadyne in every tank... ... ... ... ... . do you feel the catcher is much easier on the pump than an ez? i am sure the comp is hard on it but the truck was low on power BEFOR i tapped the wire... ... ... . i have done alot of reading and might end up with just a catcher and injectors. . i did not buy the comp to use it as an ez

marcel, marco program's the catcher ecm to get all of the fuel out of the vp 44 eithin stock parameters (without tapping the pump wire)



you can get more fuel by tapping the pump wire and get more hp.



all I ways going to point out is, some aftermarket vp44 seller with give you a warranty even if the pump wire is tapped.

bob,i read on here last night no W tapped-that sure would be nice ... . i would hate to lose another one right off--first one i had the code at 41k ,replaced at 70k,now that i know what the problem is i really dont want to wait that long(year)will start looking around... ..... thank you for the info
