well a few months i rebuilt my injection pump and about two weeks after that got new injectors and then put in an intercooler and a hx35w (a lot of parts in a little time) about 500 miles later i noticed a slicht miss or rough idle which progressively got worse the more i drove it untill it was a dead miss at idle in gear, but only sometimes, others it would idle fine, and always had great power.

so i took out the i/p and went through it again and re sealed it again, hey i'll admit it i could have screwed up, but i didnt it still ran the same so that was a waste of time and money.

next i replaced all the rubber fuel line and lift pump, another waste of time and money.

finally i bought an injector cleaner/pop tester to test the new professionally built injectors and guess what cyl 6 inj stuck open, cyl 3 works fine and then it drips fuel, cyl 2 dribbles and sometimes pops at 150 bar.

so in conclusion dont always think new pro built stuff means they are good, shuoul have pulled the injectors first and saved me a hell of alot of headache.

now to see if they will warantee them.

they were the same tips as the powerwagon injector on my stock bodies, they were supposed to be completely rebuilt, but i guess live and learn.

done by midwest fuel injection in bolingbrook il. they are going back monday

part number kdal59p5x-040

I have read, but have yet to confirm it on my own, that new springs will lose tension as they break in, lowering your pressure by 2-400psi, but yours shouldnt have been that low. So, by that alone, one would be wise to get their injectors pop tested in 1000-2000mi after installing and running them. All you're out is a few washers and about 3 hours' time (includes time to run to Bosch shop to get them tested, and shoot the bull a while)

took them in and they found 1 with a bad nozzle stuck open and 1 with a small leak. so 2 new nozzles and clean and retest all 6 under warrantee.

got my injectors back today, all 6 cleaned, 2 new tips, 6 new adapters, new horseshoe seals for return lines and new o rings for the hold down nuts. all for free, nice to see that some places still take care of their customer.

all my bosch parts will be from midwest fuel injection from now on.
