Genos ISSPRO EV transmission Temp Gauge

Since I'm bombing away (still don't know what BOMB stands for), I figure I should snag some guages.

I was going to do EGT, Boost, Fuel Press, and since I have an auto, transmission temp would be good.

I like the look of the Pillar guage pods, but they only hold three guages.

What have others done for this (or does someone make a four gauge pillar?)

Thx

Bomb = better off modified baby.

Using a dual function gauge like egt-boost on the same gauge is one way to utilize the space.

Or you can get Westach to build you a dual combo fuel pressure/transmission temp gauge to match their dual combo EGT/boost. I'm running 2 Westach dual combos and monitoring EGT, boost, pre-filter fuel pressure and post-filter fuel pressure, all with only a 2-gauge A-pillar mount.

Heck, you could run 3 Westach dual combos and measure EGT, boost, pre-filter fuel pressure, post-filter fuel pressure, transmission temperature and differential temperature just using a 3-gauge A-pillar mount.

Edit: Ummm..... I just read your signature. Why are you worried about fuel pressure on a 1995? Your 12 valve has a P-7100 pump, not a VP-44 like the 24 valve engines.

I like this idea rather than having guages in different places.

Anyone know who makes dual function guages?

Rusty--we replied at the same time.

I'm a newbie, sue me. I just figured Fuel pressure gauge was just a given, regardless of application. I've read a lot on here about the VP44s going south, but does this make me immune to fuel pressure problems?

If those knowledgable think so, then hell, I'll forgo that gauge. Less money for me to spend.

Rod's Pod!

Rod Snaith at Wildcat Diesel custom makes what he has named "Rod's Pods". They meld into the dash bezel right above the heater control. This results in a clean look that is easy to see without the "frog eye" look of single pod dash mounts. Install is a snap and accommodates braided stainless line better than an A-pillar mount ever could. These pods come blank, so the truck owner can mount four gauges, three gauges and some switches, whatever is desired. This is a versatile gauge mouting option and I recommend it highly.

For pictures and prices go to www.wildcatdiesel.com

got three on the pillar and one under the dash just to the left of the t-case shifter. Fuel pressure is under dash- don't look at it that often, fully mechanical guage with braded line: it was easier to run there and in the unlikely event of a leak its a lot easier to clean up down low than up in the pillar and behind the dash.

Rod's Pod won't work.

It is for 98'-2002 models. WebCrush's bio says he has a 95'.

In addition to the A piller, I have the dash pod in the center of my 97'. Be advised that you will get glare off of the dash pod. It does not bother me but does some who have it.

ok, i get the idea. I like the double'd up boost/egt from west tech so I'll likely do it that way.

My question has now changed to be: do I bother with Fuel Pressure? I was up on Geno's site pricing items out and his fuel pressure notes are for the 24 valvers. Should I bother with this gauge and if not, is there any install directions laying around?

Almost but not quite. Just having a post filter FP gauge can signal you to a clogging filter. Avoiding a couple of unnecessary going by the clock filter changes will pay for the gauge not to mention helping you from breaking down at the side of the road.

I have detailed install instructions on my other computer, I'll PM them to you this evening

I just install the Westach egt and boost and dual temp gauges. I wired the dual temps to a 2 pole 6 position selector switch and mounted the sw in the side of the A pillar pod. Ran the wires out under the hood to a terminal block. With this set up I can monitor 12 different temps. I will have 7 or maybe 8 when I get all the sensors installed. I am thinking of using a small solenoid valve to

switch the boost gauge to exhaust back pressure when the e brake is on. For my third gauge think I will go with an oil pressure as the factory gauge is not true pressure. Maybe I can come up with a way to switch the oil and a fuel pressure sensor to the same readout.

After reviewing my options, and speaking with some experts, its been decided that a Fuel Pressure guage is not needed.

In fact, a vendor said he wouldn't bother even selling me one.

Thanx for all the ideas.

It depends on the needs of the individual. After 3. 5 years of ownership, I am finally putting one on. Just never seemed to get to it. Some owners don't see the need for an EGT guage either.
