It can go wrong go wrong go wrong. No thanks I will steer with the front.

Maybe it will be like a converted truck used for haying. When you turned the steering wheel left the vehicle went right. The hire man ran it over an embankment. No thanks.

In 1977 I was living in Oregon and had a friend that trashed his rear end in his 4x4 P. U. and no money to fix it. But he had a 4x4 front axle laying around so he put it in the rear of his truck just to get to work for a while. one day he decided to play a little and mounted a hydraulic cylinder to the axle, tee'd into the power steering lines, added a flow control and joystick in the cab and had 4 wheel steering and with a little practice this was the funniest looking truck going around corners you ever saw because he would use the back axle to steer it like a fork lift. We would go into the back country 4 wheeling on the power line roads and that thing was the slickest set up for powering out of deep ruts, just turn back and front wheels the same direction and away you go. As this was a GMC pick up it got named Shimmy Jimmy

Honda had 4ws in the Prelude many moons ago. It was a novelty that may have worked for the 'average Joe' on the highway, but us racers avoided it like the Plague! In the showroom-stock divisions the Preludes were dominant, but all without the 4ws option! Another variable in the alignment equation is something we dont need! Now, if it comes from GM, rest assured that it will be something else to squeek, rattle and break.
