I have posted before on my four wheele frive trying to find out why it is not wotking. I have checked all the vaccum line and there is vaccum but still no four wheele drive. I have a feeling it has something to do with the actuator can. Not sure but maybe. Has anyone had any trouble with this before. thanks.

when you shift into 4wd, does the front driveshaft spin? if so, then the CAD is not working correctly. if not, then the t-case has issues.

I have removed the 4 bolts that hold the accuator in the axle and pull it out of the axle. With the accuator hanging, start the truck and shift into and out of 4WD. Watch the accuator and see if it is sliding back and forth when going in and out of 4WD. This would be easier with someone helping you on the ****er end.

Edgeman, by your sig I see you are in MI, like New England a land of wintah. I've found the CAD units get fried (I've had 3) seemingly from the inside. Try testing the cad off the truck for cross flow between the two sides. If its bad (sorry, its ~290. 00 to replace) replace it THEN reroute the air vent line from the T-case up the firewall so it gets clean, dry air. I suspect mine died by sucking in road slop from a vent line barely 2 feet off the road!!!
