Installed fuel pressure meter

super trapp mufflers?

My FP gauge has started buzzing within the last week. It happens under harder than normal acceleration ( not WOT, just harder than normal ). It starts buzzing around 2125 rpm. I run diesel to the gauge with no isolater.

Is this buzzing damaging my gauge in any way ??

Would the buzzing be stopped by a needle valve or a snubber ??

If a needle valve or snubber will help what do I need to buy and where from ??

TIA

Jeff

I doubt you're doing any damage to the gauge, and yes a snubber or needle valve will do the trick. I used a simple 1/8" needle valve I obtained at Grainger, I'm sure Home Depot or Lowes would have a similar valve.

You could also get a snubber from BD.

I have the same problem, however I have a needle valve inline. I can't seem to make it go away, other than turning it all the way off.

Those with needle valves, where are you setting them at???

Matt

Barely cracked open works on both my FPs and the Boost gauges (3 valves). I also have rubber (greese gun type) hoses that connect between the motor and the needle valve.

Open the needle valve till till the gauge just starts to read pressure. It will usually be less than a half turn from closed.

You wouldn't happen to have a part number for the valve you got from Grainger would you ? I work about 5 blocks from a Grainger.

And also where did you put in this valve ? Did you put at the schrader or what ?

Thank You

Jeff
