Finally received fuel pressure kit from Geno. Now the fun of installation. Still have to find the right paint for the "plastic" column mount and pick up hose etc. Anxious to see how much fuel pressure I have.

I have already talked to service manager at Frahm Dodge in Norco and he has agreed to take care of pump if there is any problem. So far they have been good responding to issues. Nice to get "life time" free oil and filter changes too. :D :D

Oo.

Hey Geno's has finally got mine shipped too. Fuel pressure gauge had to be backordered. Can't wait to get them installed!:D

I just got my backordered guage and banjo from Geno's and installed them last night. I must have done something wrong, or I have a bad guage/sender. My pressure spends most of it's time at 15psi, not quite pegged on the guage (16psi). Occasionally, and not associated with driving conditions like acceleration, the guage dips to 0, lingers for a second or so at 8, then back up to 15. I've check the ground, checked and re-checked the installation, but frankly the instructions are somewhat lacking in clarity for the connections. Specifically the statement "Connect the other lead to the same connection and pin #5 to ground". That makes no sense to me at all.

Also, since I'm using a 14" section of rubber grease-gun hose between the banjo on the vp-44 input, could I have a small air bubble causing the problem? I keyed on the pump before making the last connection to the sender, but I suppose there could still be a small amount of air.

How are yours working?

Rockcrusher:

I went to my local auto body paint store and purchased a spray can of SEM flexible interior paint. I wiped the gauge pillar down with urethane reducer to soften the surface up, then applied the paint. Perfect match to my tan interior with no bubbles or peels.
