FP Guage / Isolator or Direct?

I've been hearing two sides to this story. I would like to go with Diprocol (spelling) gauges but I've heard that you can't bring diesel directly into this gauge. I would prefer to have a straight run and not use an isolator after reading how many isolators fail.



Are there any other makes that do not have an issue with having diesel run to the gauge?



Have the isolators been updated regarding a more durable unit?



Gauges will be installed very soon and I just would like to get the most reliable set up possible. I'm not looking for an ongoing battle to keep them operational.

I have the dipricols, and used the isolator with antifreeze in it, but not the lines. It works fine like this and I have no issues with noise or bouncing needle. Mine has been on there about a year.

I hooked it direct as I have gone through 2 isolators already. I was getting different pressures from each and had to verify direct pressure from a mechanical gauge. I put a 90* shut off valve in case anything did ever happen in the cab, I could just pull over shut it off and continue on my way.

I run the Auto meter pro comp gages, any direct reading gage is the best, IMO,



i run the fuel in the cab and have never had a problem

use the Braided fuel line and you will be fine!

you could also use a shut off valve in the line under the hood just in case there is a fuel leak!
