Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) FP Report

Fuel pressure report at 14,200 miles. Per Westac gauge.



Idle 12-14psi

Cruising at 60mph 14-16

WOT 8-10

Deceleration (down hill) 18



These pressures are read at the "Schrader" valve. Had two foot hose and fittings made up at 'Hose-Mart' in Redlands ($7. 00). I had purchased Jeno's banjo bolt, but this was easier and schrader is available for dealer if ever needed.



Side note: CD player was acting strange, dealer, Frahm Dodge in Norco, Ca. replaced it no questions. They have provided excellent service so far. Especially like the free oil change and filter every 3,000.

But only cuz *I* couldn't get a deal like that!



That's a GREAT savings in itself - ya must either be a good negotiator, or have a great dealer...

My Grandfather also got the Free oil/filter every 3000 when he bought his new '02. The salesman said, "We'll throw that in for an extra $50" This was after the final price had been settled, and ol' G'pa said "Done!" LOL.



Anyway, I wish I had it too... but, I'll live without letting those so-called diesel tech's touch my baby.

What did you tell the shop to put on the hose?

You can tell the hose shop to make one end fit a standard 1/4" a/c fitting and the other end an 1/8npt for the sending unit.
