There was a thread on the Fram filters about a year ago... same conclusion.

Yeah, i think Fram has come to a conclusion too, The TDR is killing there ISB filter sales. Mayber they will learn from this and fix there problems.

I use fleetguard Strat's as well, and I know all about the discussion regarding Fram's - but don't they stand behind any filter related failure? Now just as it may be difficult to prove their filter was to blame, from their standpoint, are just as hard to prove from somebody else's as well. I'm not sure these failures we're hearing about are not just rumors. Kinda like the ones the Dieselpage folks are paronoid about. Also, actually attempting to harm a company by unsubstantiated claims, can be very risky, unless you have deep - and I mean "deep" pockets.

ok since i havent paid much attention to this before... and since i have a fram on it now... and it needs changed. what filter do we like here on the tdr? where can you get these filters?

Yes, the K&N and Mobil 1 filters are the same thing, and are also good choices.

Oil Filters

Fram bought me a motor for a 1986 Ford Ranger with only 28,000 on the OD when it was determined that the media they used came apart and plugged oil passages and starved the main and cam bearings.



Currently I use Baldwin in everything that takes a filter.
