Has anybody noticed or has the same problem?

While installing factory rear splash guards, I noticed that the left rear wheels stick out 1/2" more than the right. Went to the dealer and measured every dually and some had 1/2', one had 1" and only found one that was perfect! looked underneath and did some measurements, the only thing I see is that the rear leaf spring bushings are not pressed in exactly the same as the right, therefore making the axle offset 1/2' to left, DC says there is nothing wrong!

A buddy of mine bought one of the Ranch Hand front replacement bumpers, had it installed, and it showed the frame to be offset by about 1". The store gave him a refund (they did the install, he didn't like it, so they took it off). The manager said that has happened with several Dodges.

I noticed you have 4x4, 4x4's axles sit off center from each other thats probably what your seeing , Mike

I know on my 96 1500 4X4 the wheel base was 1" longer on one side then the other. If you followed it you could see it was not going straight. Dealer said "thats normal" Ya right!

offset

I posted a while back about this same subject. My truck was a total of 3" out of line!!!! A trip to the dealer determined a broken spring hanger. It's now about 1/2" out like yours, they say it's normal.

I know what you're saying. What I mean is that the rear axle is shifted over to the driver's side 1/2" more than the passenger. If measured from the frame to outside edge of rear wheels on both sides. The only thing I see is that the L/rear leaf spring bushings are not perfectly on center, causing the axle to be off. From what I understand it doesn't cause any harm. Tires are wearing ok and the truck tracks properly.

Towpro said his "half-done" was one inch longer wheelbase on one side than the other. That is not something one would want. The wheelbase is measured from the dead center of the front axle (with the wheels pointed straight ahead) to the center of the rear axle. This measurement should be very close to the same side to side, unless you are running it in the "Craftsman" NASCAR truck division. :D
