Bypass Oil Filter???

I just installed a Frantz filter and used some Scott 1000 sheet 1-ply TP. It didn't fit the center post so I used some o-rings as someone suggested. What type of TP are others out there using? Anyone using TP with a center diameter of 1. 5" to fit the center, or are the newer Frantz centers bigger to fit the 1. 625" rolls? How tight should the roll be in the housing? Thanks for your input.

To answer your question, We pretty much use the Scotts tissue and different ones use the 4 roll eco pack and some the single roll. I was using the 4 roll and the "o" ring shim as Gary does. But a while back there was a post about using the single because it had a smaller tube 1. 5". I bought it and sure enough it squeeked as it went over the expanded bottom of the stand tube, and fit tight. Some still use the "O" ring with the single, or smaller tube. We'll see how it removes when its time.

hope this helps. OH, and you can get the tt rolls from the wefilterit people, or E-bay which ever.

Yea, I also use Scotts 1000 for my Frantz. I actually haven't used a O-ring on mine, it crams on there so tight I can't imagine it getting through if it can flow freely up to the top. Actually I pack mine so tight that well... I use a padded hammer to seat it most of the way and 2 quick clamps on the unit itself so I can get the Frantz clamp to take over.

I have a 12pk of Scott 1000 I bought. I figured I could use it in the bathroom. NO WAY. I didn't even use half a roll and I bought some normal 2 ply TP for the bathroom.

So now I have a bunch of oil filters I guess :D

As for it the tube diameter, I just use a pipe of exhaust pipe and O ring.
