Freakin' Squeak Driving Me Nutz

Someone please tell me how to cure this squeak. The 4-wheel drive shifter in the floor squeaks and chirps at every bump in the road. If I hold presure on it I can eleviate the noise but holding it all the time gets old. Anyone got any Ideas on how to stop it on a more permanent basis. That type noise gets on my last nerve. #@$%!

WD-40 on the pivots?

Don't know what you use the truck for, but if it's a work tuck, just put a glove over it and see if that helps.

mine did that... . it was the shifter boot... ... lube it up with some armorall or somthing and see if it quiets down

Mine was the same new, boot squeak, a little lube and no squeak in the past 3 years.
