I have a line on a free fiberglass camper shell with tinted windows.

The only problem is that it is for a mid 90's long bed ford.

Anyone know off hand if this will fit my 97 longbed? I know its not optimal, but its hard to pass on a free camper shell. I believe the angle at the cab may be a little off, but it cannot be by much.

Any have any experrience here?

I once tried to fit a Leer shell from a Ford to my 94 Dodge gas 3/4ton long bed and the problem wasn't where the shell meets the rear window, it's the bed sides have a taper, narrowing from front to back as you get to the tailgate. Didn't come close to fitting if I wanted a leak proof setup.

As for the Ford tapered bed, I just found out from a friend of mine with a Ford last weekend that there is a difference between the SuperDuty and the other  version in bed design.

I only know this because his cap was not fitting properly and he told me it was free from a guy with a non SuperDuty.

hope this helps some...
