edit: "... ... Sure like most of you I want more power, but that will wait for a good converter..... "

Hey Dave, I have spent hours and hours trying to develope an easy and cost effective solution to the 'weiner' TC's in these trucks... . I think I gotter figured bud..... go down to the hardware store, grab a handfull of 5" grade 8 lag bolts... drill holes, insert lag bolts and snug to "just right torque"... . Walla !!! LOCKUP !!!!!! you're rockin now dude... 'course I aint quite got the stoplight issue solved yet but hey. . what do want... :D:D:D:D

pssst guys... is he buyin it ???? ;)

Bout 40 psi, 1500*, 6psi of fuel pressure. This is with factory pump settings, besides the high idle on the pump. A modified pump multiplies all the adjustments more, so I'm told or something like that. . Boost isn't everything now, but wait til I put in the custom cone and tinker some more with the fueling and other adjustments of the pump... . C'mon now, you've rebuilt an engine, this is easy, just read through all Bob's instructions, take your time, can't be as hard as rebuilding a motor.

BGilbert,

Looks like you are needing some porting work! 1500* at 40osi? With some porting, I'm at 40psi with a non-wastegated 14 and If I stay in it a VERY long time to get to speeds I shouldn't be driving, I can see 1300*.

Porting does make a difference! :D

Carl, that was just it, I held it on the floor for a long time, and I really was only watching the boost gauge and fuel pressure, it held 40 and 6psi then after realizing where I was and how fast I was going, I might have noticed the pyro, it might not have been 1500*, just guessing. Either way, I don't have egt issues yet. But yes some porting would be great. Right now, I need new IC boots and HD clamps. I just redid my boost tubing and fittings, cause I had a heck of a leak right at the engine side of the boost tubing. After removal the feral in that engine side fitting wasn't even touch, crimped or nothing, so I'm thinking it wasn't tight enough. So that previous 40psi could have been off:D... . Either way, we out of the efficiency range of our 35's at this pressure level.

Your EGT's would suggest that you had more than 40psi on stream if you had a tight system... .

I saw 1800*F and I would my 100psi blower gauge over to near 57-58psi... at 1500*F under full throttle in OD I can hit 40psi easy.

Oh well does this matter, I forgot to say that the 40psi is/was in direct 4th gear. Haven't had enough speedo or road or balls to see how much I could get in od/5th. 3500rpm in 4th look down and the speedo which only goes to 85 is buried. I need to find if Dodge made a 100mph speedo for the 81-89 D&W pickups. I know they did with the old Canadian km/hr head that was in it before, but I've since removed and sold that one. Also I know the newer style head 90-93 has a 100mph, but I need the mechanical 81-89 100+head... . Also I think my clutch is about shot, I think tax check time will be time for a super duper clutch and . . ??

I did the pump mods and my tires are telling me that this is not a good thing! The intake is "whistling" a new tune and if those kids in that honda are listening, I'm sorry about your paint..... I think it will wash off... ... .
