Went by the dealer that has the Dynaquest rigs today, He went thru all the hoopla and tried to sell some under powered POS (IMO) Told me that I did't know what I was talking about, and that he had been a truck driver before he retired and started Transporting RV's all over the U.S. then was ASKED to come sell these because of his 20 years of truck driving experience.
Kind of reminded me of the " Good ol Days of TDR" :-laf I told him well let me take it for a spin, oh no im going to have to go with you!! well no doubt this is so much power that I think it would be a two man job to just get it out of the parking lot.
He said that you have to have a special Class lic. to even drive this rig. Really? I didn't think that my regular lic. that I have held for 38 years was going to make it, He was one of the types that ROARS a belly laugh ABOUT EVERYTHING!! he say's. :-laf No Son you have to have a mans license to drive this RIG!!! :-laf
I handed him my ticket and asked to see another sales person that has some brains in his " F " head most of all one that don't have his head so far up his A** that he can look at the backside of his tonsils, Laugh that one off BIG RIG BOBBY !!!! :-laf
Penny told him in her sheepish little voice that we have sent him to charm school and its working don't you think

Have you ever seen a guy try to pull his foot out of his mouth that has been stuck in so deep its to the hip ??
Another sales guy came out and he was pretty good about the other guy being an A Hole. He did say that a new DOT law states that even with my ability to drive anything on the hwy except a bus (for passengers) and a Motorcycle that I didn't have an Endorsement for AUTOMATICS!!! We went out and he did let me drive one it had a small Cummins that I know would not have been anything close to what I wanted. The one that had a Big Cummins was sold and I really didn't want to drive it being someone else's. He asked if we would come back in another week to take a look at the replacement Rig that was coming in from Las Vegas, We agreed and he said that I should see about getting my Lic. to include a Automatic endorsement.
The fit and finish of the Dynaquest are Fantastic. I like the idea of being able to exit the rig from a regular door. not have to get up and walk back to a cabin door on the side. The motor access is another great point that someone made, FIL's bus is a PITA to get to one of the fuel filters to change. At least in this configuration it would be just like any other truck, flip the hood tie-downs over and pull the hood.
What a difference in transmissions, My International has a 6 speed Allison. This also had a 6 speed Allison but is way better shifting up and down. I thought that like my International that I would have to put a little more foot to it from a stop, this is just a responsive as FIL's bus its really not much different feeling than a Dodge with a GOOD transmission in it compared to the factory stock trans towing something.
Suspension is air ride it felt as if we were in a half full tanker hauling motor oil, the whole thing just seemed to wobble down the hwy, I know that at work the mechanics adjusted most of that out by adjusting the air to the bags but it never felt good, like it would be a problem with a side wind. At work we didn't have that problem with tankers you don't pick up much wind but being this thing is like driving a bill-board it could be a problem.
Said good bye to Bobby Big Rig got in the wife's Audi and acted like I pulled the air horn pull cord on a truck, while I tooted the car horn Beep Beep!! :-laf
Penny asked me if I really try to be an AH, its seems as if I enjoy it so much? Only to another AH
