Shocks for 2008 3500 2 whl drive

Trailer Sway Control

I'm not sure you'd be happy with that motor in that big of a coach. I had the cat 3126 (very similar to ISC) in a 37' Beaver and it was adequate at best. If MSRP is 411k, out the door should be in the 330k range. For $300,000 you can get a VERY nice, slightly used coach with a 500hp motor that will have around 20,000 miles on it. I've been there, done that with high end coaches and the new price tag is just ridiculous! Lots of 500k+ coaches for sale in the 300k range that are only a couple of years old.

My .02 for what it's worth! :)

That one lists it as auto shift, so depending which transmission, it could be clutchless as well.

Has a two plate clutch, but no clutch pedal. Servo operated.

Has a paddle style shifter that the steering wheel is blocking in the photo.

40,000lb twin screw with a 3.42 gear ratio.

It finally occurred to me that I could look it up by the VIN....a little slow in the mornings I am........

Almost forgot the most important thing......455 - 505 Horsepower, 1650 torque.

THAT IS "Get over, Big is coming through......." KINDA' POWER!!!!

That's what I'm talking about! And a Real transmission with a real clutch, not a slush box putting all that power to the ground!

Not to mention the ease of repairs to the engine, the techs won't try to hide when that pulls up to the shop door.......

Thanks for the info Folks we have to take a look see at the thing.

I can drive a clutch but would REALLY hate to get into a city traffic jam for hours, The wife asked that same question she was told the same thing about traffic jams. OH WELL!!!! Oo. I COULD DRIVE THEN :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf Didn't go over real well

Ya as far as power the more the better, I took a look back at what the FIL's Prevost was getting for MPG 4.3 ain't my idea of a affordable driving RV BIG HP comes with a price tag one way or the other. For the size and weight of the Beast it really isn't bad considering that at every opportunity available it was at 85 MPH

It don't seem to bother the wife with the price tag, it does me!!! :--) she said to quit being SCROOGE

A big block (for lack of a better term) diesel really ought to get 8-12 mpg if driving it reasonably. My 3126 would average about 10-11 and drop to 8 when pulling my 30' enclosed trailer. My dad's Foretravel with a 3208 cat averages 8-9. I used to get just over 8 in a big rig when we were deadheading. A coach should easily beat that.

Have an APPOINTMENT!! to see this one. It looks very nice. I asked the wife about the price tag? she said yes, but im not sure that I want to spend MORE than what our property, house, barn and all equipment is worth to use this as much as we would.

THAT'S A FAIR CHUNK OF CHANGE!! But it LOOKS NICE!! has two others that are not listed about the same spec's

I like that one, except for the DD under the hood, but it is a bit too fancy inside for my liking. David

Went by the dealer that has the Dynaquest rigs today, He went thru all the hoopla and tried to sell some under powered POS (IMO) Told me that I did't know what I was talking about, and that he had been a truck driver before he retired and started Transporting RV's all over the U.S. then was ASKED to come sell these because of his 20 years of truck driving experience.

Kind of reminded me of the " Good ol Days of TDR" :-laf I told him well let me take it for a spin, oh no im going to have to go with you!! well no doubt this is so much power that I think it would be a two man job to just get it out of the parking lot.

He said that you have to have a special Class lic. to even drive this rig. Really? I didn't think that my regular lic. that I have held for 38 years was going to make it, He was one of the types that ROARS a belly laugh ABOUT EVERYTHING!! he say's. :-laf No Son you have to have a mans license to drive this RIG!!! :-laf

I handed him my ticket and asked to see another sales person that has some brains in his " F " head most of all one that don't have his head so far up his A** that he can look at the backside of his tonsils, Laugh that one off BIG RIG BOBBY !!!! :-laf

Penny told him in her sheepish little voice that we have sent him to charm school and its working don't you think :) Have you ever seen a guy try to pull his foot out of his mouth that has been stuck in so deep its to the hip ??

Another sales guy came out and he was pretty good about the other guy being an A Hole. He did say that a new DOT law states that even with my ability to drive anything on the hwy except a bus (for passengers) and a Motorcycle that I didn't have an Endorsement for AUTOMATICS!!! We went out and he did let me drive one it had a small Cummins that I know would not have been anything close to what I wanted. The one that had a Big Cummins was sold and I really didn't want to drive it being someone else's. He asked if we would come back in another week to take a look at the replacement Rig that was coming in from Las Vegas, We agreed and he said that I should see about getting my Lic. to include a Automatic endorsement.

The fit and finish of the Dynaquest are Fantastic. I like the idea of being able to exit the rig from a regular door. not have to get up and walk back to a cabin door on the side. The motor access is another great point that someone made, FIL's bus is a PITA to get to one of the fuel filters to change. At least in this configuration it would be just like any other truck, flip the hood tie-downs over and pull the hood.

What a difference in transmissions, My International has a 6 speed Allison. This also had a 6 speed Allison but is way better shifting up and down. I thought that like my International that I would have to put a little more foot to it from a stop, this is just a responsive as FIL's bus its really not much different feeling than a Dodge with a GOOD transmission in it compared to the factory stock trans towing something.

Suspension is air ride it felt as if we were in a half full tanker hauling motor oil, the whole thing just seemed to wobble down the hwy, I know that at work the mechanics adjusted most of that out by adjusting the air to the bags but it never felt good, like it would be a problem with a side wind. At work we didn't have that problem with tankers you don't pick up much wind but being this thing is like driving a bill-board it could be a problem.

Said good bye to Bobby Big Rig got in the wife's Audi and acted like I pulled the air horn pull cord on a truck, while I tooted the car horn Beep Beep!! :-laf

Penny asked me if I really try to be an AH, its seems as if I enjoy it so much? Only to another AH

There is something gratifying about Being an A**hole to an A**hole!

Been awhile since I was in the trucking biz, are they really requiring an automatic transmission endorsement??!!
Cuz knowing how to use the clutch to start and stop only, time the revs, match the torque, etc etc in a manual transmission is easy, but just putting your foot on the throttle and going requires a special endorsement to make sure you know how! That's the government for ya......

Hey Big, if you get that automatic trans endorsement, you may as well get your passenger endorsement while you are at it. You could moonlight as a school bus driver in your spare time.

I use to like you until you said this. I like talking to the youngsters around here, they come and have me fix their bikes. They like to drive the mules when we plow or feed. Penny had some Girl Scouts out not long ago working on outdoor cooking, Had some Boy Scouts over we worked on Orienteering skills, Tracking, fire starting (the old way)

BUT TO DRIVE A FRIGGING SCHOOL BUS FULL OF SCREAMING ANIMALS??? Well!!! Id just as soon go out to the pasture and put THE GUN TO MY HEAD and GET IT OVER WITH PEACEFULLY!!!

Thank You NOT!!!

BIG

We wont even talk about the parents that PARK IN THE WRONG DAMN PLACE to drop off little Johnny at school, They are worse than the youngsters EVER THOUGHT!! of being. Need to take a Tire Billy and whack off a side view mirror to make a point THAT YOU DON'T PARK THERE STUPID!!! #@$%!

NOW SEE WHAT YOU DID, I NEED A BEER!!!

Thank You ;)
