I took my truck in for the "Hummmmmmmm" coming from the condensor. Tech kept it over night and determined today that there was only 77Kg of Freon from the factory in the system. . Says a ton of them are coming from Chrysler low on Freon. He evacuated the system, checked everything else, and refilled to the Proper level of 850 Kg... Said the Humm was because it was low. THey tested it and the humm had stopped. The Humm was back when I drove it home, just not near as bad... Not worried about it at all, blows Ice cold air and a LOT of it!!

Is 850 a LOT of Freon???

I hope the compressor wasn't running on that low amount of freon. The low pressure switch should have kept it off. Other than that, I'm not sure how much the system should take. I always charged until suction line was cold and sweaty. Old school.

From the 2006 Factory Service Manual:

Refer to the A/C Underhood
Specification Label located in the
engine compartment.

Maybe your truck has the same label under the hood.
