I plan on changing the oil in my rear end this weekend. Do I need to add friction modifier if I have an open differential? What is the best oil weight to use?

TIA

Tom

Friction modifier is for limited slip clutches, open differential's don't have them so ya don't need it, however most good name brand oil has it included, if it does it will be fine. If all you do is run around empty, 80-90 wgt is good, if you tow, use 85-140 wgt.
