Friend Needs Advice

I have a friend who has a 05 CTD, and they are losing the injectors. Since they are under warranty still, they are just wanting to replace them that way, and then later upgrade them.

Problem is, they have the Quadzilla Commander (guage only- no chip). The tech at the dealership said that the Commander unit itself is a chip. In turn, he contacted Dodge, and flagged their truck, and thus their entire electronics and powertrain warranty is voided at any dealership. They are fighting this, but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on what they can do to get this resolved. They called Dodge directly, and they were no help. Anyone had this happen before?

If you will have him contact our tech support we might be able to contact the service manager and explain to him that the Commander is a set of digital gauges and nothing more?

Thanks for the reply. They went and even talked to the GM of the store. The service writer said that "Dodge has a zero tolerence policy for any aftermarket part". They flagged their whole record and still won't take it off. I know they even took in the papers and product descriptions and such. They took the number for Quadzilla, and they refused to call. At this point, I think they are going to report this to the BBB.

What state is the dealership in. Provide press coverage to forewarn other prospective customers (they hate that). If in fact the unit could not modify engine performance file a complaint formally with the state Atty General office for violation of the federal Magnusson-Mann act. At this delicate point in time Dodge (and Chrylser Group) aren't in a position to weather that kind of litigious exposure.
