I have a 2001 dodge ram 2500 cummins 4x4. I just replaced the upper and lower ball joints, hubs and u-joints. Now i have a small leak in my front driver side seal? Its not a very large leak so i was wondering if it would hurt to put straight 140 gear oil in her? Will it hurt anything? I just dont feel like tearing apart the front end twice in a few months.

It is fairly common to see a Dana seal leak after the axles are pulled. When the axle slides out of the seal and when it is reinstalled the splines may do a bit of damage. I am sure the older the seal the less it be able to take it.
