front a-pillar door seal tearing

I saw a recent post about the rubber moulding tearing at the a-pillar tearing due to the door closing. Mine is starting to do it now. has anyone replaced their rubber seal with the new revised part, and if so, does it work?



does anyone have the TSB number for the fix?

TSB 23-008-04, I think this is the correct one. I had mine done a couple of months ago and it's a little better, they are a different material and a little thinner but they still rub a little. I had mine doee two weeks ago, but it's too soon to tell. I did a highspeed run to check for wind noise and don't have any. I was worried the new one wouldn't seal as well. Hit some heavy rain, and got no leaks either. Time will have to tell if it will hold up.

My truck is only 2 months old and already the drivers side seal is torn. The passenger side is also wearing, but doesn't get as much use as the drivers side. Looks like a trip to the dealer for the TSB.

Mine is 3 weeks old and I noticed the gouging in the seal a week ago.



I put some electrical tape on the inside of the door where it rubs against the gasket. So far, so good. I'll keep an eye on it.

Spray the seal with silicone lube in that area, or along the whole seals... . it's good for them, and the lube will allow the door to swipe across without tearing it... .
