Has anyone tried the air bags that go inside the coil springs on a 2 wheel drive truck ? Mine bottoms out on dips and un-even bridges. Ponz

Easy to install... . just dont lay in a fire ant nest while putting them in like I did! Same problem with my rig, wanted to raise the front a bit. Bags helped some, but not exactly what I expected. Max psi is 30lbs. If the bags were taller, they might raise the front back to showroom height. They are a bit short and when inflated to max pressure might raise the front 1"-1. 5".

You are always better off adding one or two more leafs then your are using air bags. Air bags loose air and then get uneven. You almost have to carry an air compress with you.

Used a set of airbags on a Ford Dually... the airbags were blue (I believe made by Firestone) and held 60 lbs. of air max. They stopped bottoming-out with a load. I believe the red airbags are the el cheapos that hold 25 or 30 lbs of air. They do not work. But, you have to get a compressor also. And controls to use in the cab for pressure adjustments. If airbags did not work, you wouldn't see them on 90% of all over-the-road trucks. Hope this helps.
