Front air Dam

Firstly:

I'm new to the group. I took delivery of my very first Diesel on Friday, 8/24. Cool truck!



Kudos on a very informative web site.



I wanted to add the factory front air dam to my new 2500 QC. Apparently it is now an option.

I believe the factory option was about 25. 00. I just checked with my dealer's parts dept. They want 100. 00 for the same thing!



Does anyone in the group know of a "friendlier" parts dept. ie better prices on parts/accessories?

I have seen post's in the past where someone would send you one if you paid the shipping. My truck was born without one but after replacing the front bumper from a mishap the body shop put one on it. Other than looks I can't tell the difference in the way the truck handles, pulls or drives.

Gilbert - sorry to be so short @ work and really need to get back to work.



Click the Search button in the upper right corner and type in "Front Air Dam" make sure you select 3 months or older as far as how old of a search you want to do.



Look for my thread that is titled "Aid Dam & Thanks 4 help w/drums" there is mention of a place called Dever?? can't remember - - -but more importantly if you ever decide to check/change your rear brakes the drum trick "really" works.

I have one which I removed from my 97,if it will fit,it's yours if you want it. It has one small gouge in the bottom,but you can't really see it from the front of the truck.

Met up w/Dave D of the group today and picked up a slightly used front air dam.

Picked up a slightly used front air dam today from one of the members (Dave D). Installed the air dam and it fits great.
