2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Front axle seal question

I just replaced my front passenger seal following the directions I found on here. My question is once I pass the all thread thru and use the socket how hard are you supposed to pull to set the seal?? It doesnt say but I damaged the first one because I used too much force. Is it just supposed to be snug??



Also with the cad unit does the fork actually go in the groove or does it go in front of the actuator??
