On a long hot trip this week, I drove about 700mi across the Nevada desert, speed was about 80 temp 95-100. I noticed this morning that the front axle vent tube was puking oil out & dripping down the inner fenderwell onto some suspesion components. The vent tube exits under the airbox. I am using amsoil 75-90 in the front diff. Anyone else noticing this mess?

Had the same thing happen with the same conditions, but with the factory oil with about 15k on the truck. Puked once, and around 20k have been using Redline gear oil's and have never had it happen again. Seems to be quite common though with the factory fillup.

Mine did it too

Yep, my truck did precisely the same thing after driving on a really hot Sacramento day about two weeks back. I posted this same question, a few others said their trucks either did it ocassionally, all the way up to constantly. So far, I have about 10,000 miles on the Amsoil 75-90 oil in my front diff. , and it has only puked up the one time on me, about maybe 2 or 3 tablespoons full of fluid.

So, you're not alone. Search on my username in this forum or maybe it was the 24Valve No engine/drivetrain forum for posts in the past 30 days, you'll find my post and the related replies.

Here ya go, this is my post on this (if this works that is):
