I just put Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads on my truck-was very impressed-much better than Raybestos Lifetime I had been using. Anybody have any others to try?

Don't be too quick to change to lifetime brake pads. They may last the "lifetime" of the truck, but they will wear down your rotors more quickly than regular pads. IMHO, it's better to change pads more often than change rotors once.

Bill:

I have had alot of trouble with the brakes
on my 96' since it was new. At about
50,000 miles I got tired of the Dodge
brakes wearing out so I had a COMPLETE
brake system check done at "Midas. "
They ended up replacing the front
Mopar pads with their pads and until
just recently (at 100,000 miles) I
have not had ANY brake problems!
The 100,000 mile problem was worn
front pads and one of the Mopar
calipers worn out. I am very happy
with their products and services.

I've had nothing but good luck with Midas. My beater '81 Toyota 4x4 (325k miles)has had their lifetime shocks&muffler since they first needed replacing. Since then they've replaced the muffler three times and the shocks four, all for free. With the shocks they always replaced all four even though only one was bad. This type of service is what has kept them in business so long, just wish DC could follow their example. Maybe it's time to let them put lifetime brakes on my Rams.
