It's gonna drive me crazy. New rotors, new pads... . didn't squeel for the first month... now they squeel during light braking. If I change the pressure on the pedal, they quit. Is there anything that can be done?

it is either dust in there that is causing it or pad vibration. If you go to your local parts store, they usually have little packets of stuff that you put on the back of the calipers. Also try and clean off the rotors and pads with cleaner. The reason why it stops when you press hard is that you are applying enough pressure to overcome the vibrations that are being made.

brake squeal

Mine is doing the same thing. New rotors and pads, no squeal for about 1500 miles, now squeals until brake pedal is just touched.

tried the packets of stuff chrleb1 suggested but no help. Mine

appears to be coming from right side only. Let me know if you find something that works. thanks.

Anti-squeal brake compound, available from your local parts

store will do the trick. Just follow the instructions, apply it

liberally, let it dry slightly and re-assemble. Worked for me

on several vehicles. Won't do a brake job without it!

Squeal

If the above does not cure the squeal, thy putting a bit of cam-fore on the edge of the pad. in other word grind off that edge to a 45% angle. the shoes that i use come that way.

just my penny's worth.
